What to Wear for Recruitment

Summer has been FLYING by which means recruitment is almost here! We are beyond excited to meet each and every one of you, and have been preparing for months for your arrival! With that being said, we have put together some outfit ideas and inspiration to help you plan for each round. Remember to wear what makes YOU confident, and know that there is no “uniform” look in any of our chapters! One of the most important pieces of advice you’ll receive going into recruitment is cheesy but true: be yourself!!

Ice Water Teas Round:

For Ice Water Teas, you will make a brief video for each chapter to watch. When choosing what to wear in your video remember the frame will be horizontal and only show your top half, so we recommend a fun top or dress! For the day of IWT in August, there will be a virtual round held on ZOOM with your PiChi group. You will watch videos made by each chapter, and you can wear whatever you are most comfortable in!

Philanthropy Round:

The Philanthropy Round of Recruitment is more casual, as you will be wearing your Panhellenic Recruitment t-shirt. For this round, we recommend a skirt or cute shorts that showcase your personal style! You will also want to wear comfortable shoes that you will be able to stand in for long periods of time.

Sisterhood Round:

For Sisterhood Round, girls tend to dress up a little bit more. You can wear a dress suitable for church or a nice dinner. We recommend nicer shoes such as wedges or nice sandals, and bringing a comfortable pair of shoes to change into between parties!

Preference Round:

Preference Round is the dressiest round of all others. For this round, you will want to wear a dress you could wear to a wedding or formal church. You will spend the majority of the time sitting, so you can wear heels if you want to. Many girls choose to wear black dresses, but this is NOT required for Preference! Feel free to have fun with color and patterns, and choose accessories that reflect your personal style!

Bid Day:

There will be lots of running around on this day, so we recommend sneakers! Athletic shorts and a tank top work well as they are easy to throw your jersey on over.

Always remember to dress how YOU want, not how you think sororities want you to. Each chapter wants to get to know the real you, so be yourself and have fun with your outfits!

xoxo,
