Women’s History Month: Celebrating Historic Auburn Panhellenic Women
Women’s History Month is a time to recognize the women who have shaped our communities and inspired future generations of leaders. Within Auburn University Panhellenic Council, women continue to make an impact both on campus and far beyond Auburn.
One powerful example is Bria Randal, a member of Chi Omega, who made history as Auburn’s first African-American Panhellenic sorority president. Her leadership helped highlight the importance of representation and inclusivity within the Greek community and continues to inspire women across campus.
Auburn women are also making an impact nationally. Anna Funderburk Buckner, an Auburn alumna and Chi Omega member, serves as the National President of Chi Omega, leading one of the largest women’s fraternal organizations in the world and guiding thousands of members in leadership and service.
Panhellenic women have also shaped public service. Martha Roby, a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, served as the U.S. Representative for Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District, demonstrating howAuburn women bring leadership and service into their communities and government.
These women represent just a few of the many leaders who have come through Auburn Panhellenic. This Women’s History Month, we celebrate the legacy of women who continue to lead, serve, and inspire the Auburn community and beyond. War Eagle!
